Good afternoon!
First, on behalf of the Asia Pacific Science and Technology Association from Singapore, as co-organizer of this forum, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Chairman Liu Yan and Chairman Luo Yong. Thank you for your support and for jointly building this high-level platform that gathers wisdom and builds consensus, allowing us to jointly explore the future of the digital economy in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
Hong Kong, as a key economic hub in Asia and even globally, has always served as a bridge connecting mainland China with the world. Today, I would like to emphasize the unique role Hong Kong can play in the digital economy era—not only as an international financial and trade center, but also as a strategic link in promoting regional digital cooperation.
Both Singapore and Hong Kong are highly open economies, each with its own strengths in the digital economy. Singapore focuses on technological innovation and ecosystem development, while Hong Kong, with its vibrant capital, international talent, and deep connections with mainland China, particularly the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, serves as an ideal testing ground for technology implementation and industrial integration. We believe that by strengthening cooperation between Singapore and Hong Kong and further leveraging the manufacturing capabilities, market size, and scientific research resources of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, we will unleash tremendous synergies.
In the future, we can work together in the following areas:
First, promote cross-border data flows and mutual recognition of standards, establish a trusted data exchange mechanism, and provide institutional guarantees for the development of digital trade and artificial intelligence;
Second, promote complementarity in key industries such as fintech, smart cities, green technology, and biomedicine, and support enterprises in jointly building cross-regional supply chains and innovation chains;
Third, deepen talent exchange and collaborative training, establish special funds or joint laboratories, and attract the world’s top scientific research talent to this region.
Friends, the digital economy is not only a competition of technologies, but also a shared ecosystem. Let us use Hong Kong as a link to connect Singapore’s technological innovation, Hong Kong and Macao’s open platforms, and the Greater Bay Area’s industrial depth, and jointly build the most dynamic “Digital Industry Corridor” in the Asia-Pacific region.
I believe that through our joint efforts, we will usher in a new chapter of win-win cooperation in the digital age!

首先，我谨代表新加坡亚太科学技术协会，作为本次论坛的联合主办方对刘嚴会长和骆勇主席表示诚挚的感谢。感谢你们支持、共同搭建了这一汇聚智慧、凝聚共识的高端平台，让我们有机会共同探讨数字经济在亚太地区、乃至全球的未来。
香港，作为亚洲乃至全球的重要经济枢纽，一直以来都是连接内地与世界的桥梁。今天，我想特别强调香港在数字经济时代所能发挥的独特作用——不仅是国际金融与贸易中心，更是推动区域数字合作的战略纽带。
新加坡与香港同为高度开放的经济体，在数字经济领域各具优势。新加坡注重科技创新与生态构建，香港则凭借其资本活力、国际化人才及与中国内地——尤其是粤港澳大湾区的深度联动，成为技术落地与产业融合的理想试验场。我们相信，通过加强新港合作，并进一步联动粤港澳大湾区的制造能力、市场体量与科研资源，必将释放出巨大的协同效应。
未来，我们可以在以下几个方向共同努力：
第一，推动数据跨境流动与标准互认，建立可信数据交换机制，为数字贸易与人工智能发展提供制度保障；
第二，促进关键产业互补，如金融科技、智慧城市、绿色科技与生物医药，支持企业跨区域共建供应链与创新链；
第三，深化人才交流与合作培养，设立专项基金或联合实验室，吸引全球顶尖科研人才在此集聚。
各位朋友，数字经济不仅是技术的竞争，更是生态的共建。让我们以香港为纽带，串联起新加坡的技术创新、港澳的开放平台与大湾区的产业纵深，共同打造亚太地区最具活力的“数字产业走廊”。
