The program of Mar-For 2026 will continuously offer high-quality technical talks and panel discussions by renowned keynote, invited speakers, researchers, and talented students from all over the world. It aims to provide a broad forum for exchange for both academia and industry alike, for fostering collaboration between them.
The forum will cover a wide range of topics related to, but not limited to:
- Metamaterials, metasurfaces, metantenna technologies and fundamentals.
- Machine learning enabled methods for metamaterials and antennas
- Beamsteering antennas include phased array antennas, digital beamforming arrays, switched beam antennas, reflectarray antennas, transmitarray antennas, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces-based beamsteering antennas, lens-based beamsteering antennas, and optical beamforming (photonic beamsteering)antennas
- Multiple antenna systems, including reconfigurable antennas, collocated multiple antennas, MlMO and array antennas, array feeding structures, etc.
- Modelling and optimisation algorithms, and relevant applications
The forum is open to the submission of a one-page summary, and accepted summaries will bepresented on site. The extended summaries will be published in conference proceedings onconference website after the conference.
The forum continues the Student Sessions, including the Student Paper Contest (SPC) and Student Interactive Forum (SlF) as a tradition. The students who have worked on relevant topics from fundamental research to engineering applications are welcome to participate.

- The award winner of the Student Paper Contest will be issued a certificate and a monetary prize.
Student interactive Forum
The Mar-for 2026 offers the platform for the students to showcase their research outcomes. Students who are working in the areas of metamaterial antennas, beamsteering antennas, multipleantenna systems, and machine learning enabled methods of modelling/optimisation/synthesis of antennas/electromagnetic devices, are invited to submit TWO slides at a template downloadedfrom the website at www.marinaforum.org. Shortlisted students would be invited to present for 5minutes during the Forum.
The deadline for submission is 15 January 2026, Singapore Standard Time (SST). Kindly submit the softcopy of the slides to Dr. Xinyi TANG at tang_xinyi@i2r.a-star.edu.sg with the email subject of “Marina Forum Student Interactive Forum – (Student’s Name)”.
